I’ve been running myself ragged, caring for a cat, crocheting, and cooking once a week in a crock pot. Juggling/spinning all these balls/plates has got me thinking, can women have it all?
If you asked me in my early 20s if I could see myself being 31, unmarried, with a cat, crocheting daily, and cooking in a crock pot once a week, the answer would’ve been, YES OF COURSE. Having it all isn’t easy so here are some ways I cope with the stress of getting it ALL DONE and how you too, CAN HAVE IT ALL.

1: PLAN AHEAD:
Before I make my crock pot meal that will be my lunch and dinner for the next seven days, I research recipes in advance. It takes time to parse though 30 Turkey Chili recipes and find the exact one that will visually come across best on Instagram so you want to make sure you leave enough time for this.
2: SCHEDULE TIME WITH LOVED ONES:
Caring for a cat child isn’t as laissez faire as dog owners want you to think. It takes A VILLAGE. A VILLAGE OF BRIGHTLY COLORED TOYS. I make sure to block off plenty of one on one time for me and my son James to make sure he knows how special he is.
3: MAKE “YOU” TIME
Crochet is what gets my blood pumping. The colors, the textures, the hook. Is it hot in here? This is what brings me JOY so make sure you block off time for YOU because unlike the self-sacrificing generations before us, YOU come first and only YOU can HAVE IT ALL.
